We have decided to make this description so either gods and halfgods will know where are they more skilled at. The way we have done it is putting the name of the god and where he/she is more skilled that. That way all the children will know the same, it will also be useful if you are trying to find out the better progenitor for the plans you have for your character.
APHRODITE
"The goddess of love, beauty and desire"
She's very skilled in flirting and getting whoever she wants into her bed. She's beautiful and she knows it, to the point of getting to be vain most of the time. One of her best skills is the blarney, which added to her beauty is what she uses to get people in her bed.
APOLLO
"The god of music, healing, plague, the sun, prophecies, poetry, and archery"
As obvious, one of his most improved skills is everything that has to do with archery, especially hunting, what makes him kind of compete with Artemis. Other skills he has are the greatest ear for music, being capable of composing a melody from the silence. Knows how to read and interpret prophecies, and has control over the sun.
ARES
"The god of war, bloodlust, violence, manly courage, and civil order"
He is good at one to one fighting, he doesn't need weapons, but still loves them and they make him even more powerful. Also he is lustfull and will have any woman even if they don't want to, but it goes in his veins, everyone he has sex with will end up enjoying it.
ARTEMIS
"The goddess of the hunt, wilderness, animals, young girls, childbirth and plague"
She's the greatest hunter, she is silent, relaxed and calm, and feels connected to the nature. Also she can make every animal do what she wants just touching them, and has a really improved maternal instict, what makes her an amazing children carer
ATHENA
"The goddess of wisdom, warfare, battle strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason"
Very intelligent and perseverant. She is almost as good as Ares at one on one fighting, but she is a better strategist for battles. She is a leader for a lot of reasons, and even if in her group she isn't the leader she acts that way, most of the times unconsciously.
DEMETER
"The goddess of agriculture, horticulture, grain and harvest"
Her skills are basicly based in everything that has to do with plants. She might not be the best dueler, but she can be the best healer if you let her make an infusion with her plants. Also she has control over every plant that surrounds her, and even if she lets the seasons do their things with flowers and other kind of plants, she could choose not to let them die with the winter, for example.
DIONYSUS
"The god of wine, parties and festivals, madness, chaos, drunkenness and pleasure at forever young"
Mostly like Aphrodite, but even more exaggerated. Parties, drinking and excesses can be considered his one and only skill, but he's an Olympian god for a reason: he prepares the best parties ever.
HADES
"King of the Underworld and god of the dead and the hidden wealth of the Earth"
Death. That's his skill. He loves killing and ordering people to kill for him, he wants his kindom full of broken souls and that's what he tries everytime. He is pretty cunning and intelligent, not the best battler but one of the best strategist.
HEPHAESTUS
"The god of fire, metalworking, stonemasonry, sculpture and volcanism"
Everyone wants his weapons, and not only his weapons but his skills to work with them. If he has a weapon in his hand and is going to fight he is almost unbeatable. Also he has control over the fire and vulcanos. And likes sculping things to tease other people the most.
HERA
"Queen of marriage, women, childbirth, heirs, kings and empires"
Goddess of godesses, her skills are superior to the rest of the godesses ones, but she mostly sticks with her ability to control everything, to have everything undersight and her ability to make everyone do what she wants, or what they have to do. She has a capacity of mind controlling that she uses only on occasion.
HERMES
"The god of travel, messengers, trade, thievery, cunning wiles, language, writing, diplomacy, athletics, and animal husbandry"
Considered one of the smartest and cutest gods of the olympus, he is really considered the messenger of Zeus. But in his hidden skills there are some such as inventing things, especially new ways to fly appart of his winged trainers, and he is a pretty good athlete.
HESTIA
"Virgin goddess of the hearth, home and cooking."
Her major skill is fixing broken families. She can make both partners forget the problems and love each other as the first time. Sometimes she is a bit manipulator when she thinks two people should be together, but at the end of the day she loves getting home and snuggling in her bed, and she herself is still waiting for the perfect man for her.
POSEIDON
"The god of the sea, rivers, floods, droughts, earthquakes, and the creator of horses; known as the "Earth Shaker"."
He has powers of everything that has water. Water gives him power and he's able to heal himself with water. Also he tends to cause earthquakes when something is wrong, but mostly water is his symbol. That's why he's almost just as good swimmer as the merepeople.
ZEUS
"The king of the gods, the ruler of Mount Olympus and the god of the sky, weather, thunder, lightning, law, order, and fate"
God of gods, as Hera, has mostly the same powers as the rest of gods, maybe even better, but he is really smart so he prefers to take care of everything and be sure that everything is going alright and noone is doing anything forbidden. His way of releasing his anger is causing thunderstorms, which he really loves.
